New Nursery Manager

A heartfelt thank you and congratulations all round!

We recently asked our community to show their support for our funding bid to for the Stump Up For Trees Community Tree Nursery. With the support of multiple signatures, comments and letters from our community, we were delighted to receive the news that we were successful in our funding bid to the National Lottery Community Fund / Cronfa Gymunedol y Loteri Genedlaethol

This means that we have been able to formally appoint Jen Parry as our Nursery Manager for our Stump Up For Trees Community Tree Nursery!

Jen, who graciously stepped in to assist at the Nursery earlier this year, has shown immense dedication to our volunteers and trees. Her extensive experience in the Stump office and ongoing work in landowner engagement equip her with a diverse skill set that she brings to the nursery. With her farming background, Jen is well-prepared to tackle the unique challenges at the Stump nursery, from supporting landowners and volunteers to navigating the practicalities of growing trees in a Welsh climate. For those of you who don't know, she has additional experience in education and is also a fantastic artist!

Now, with Jen's guidance and leadership, support from Liz (our volunteer supervisor), Rachel (our Operations manager), and our wonderful volunteers we are looking forward to the next part of the journey for our tree nursery.

If you would like to volunteer, support us (as a sponsor or in-kind) or are interested in other opportunities for health and education at the nursery please email us at hello@stumpupfortrees.org
