Meetings For Good

As a small charity working in the vast and, at times, overwhelming environmental sector, we are always on the look out for original ideas that drive change. So... here's a good one: ‘Meetings For Good’ is an initiative of the St David's Hotel, Cardiff. It is a comprehensive approach to hosting environmentally conscious, in person meetings.

St David’s Hotel understands the importance of face-to-face interactions, but realises that reducing the environmental impact of these meetings is critical. Thus, the Hotel has built a set of protocols as part of this initiative: they have pledged to use 100% green energy and provide a plastic-free water service; their partnership with Olio will reduce food waste by donating leftovers to the local community; delegates are encouraged to connect with nature through the provision of walking instructions to a nearby nature reserve, promoting physical activity and an appreciation for the natural environment.

All of this aligns with our mission to promote sustainability and environmental stewardship, with a strong focus on community being at the heart of sustainable change. We are absolutely thrilled that, as part of the Meetings For Good initiative, St David’s Hotel will be supporting Stump Up For Trees. For every meeting booked under this package, they will make a donation to the charity. This support is vital in helping us plant more trees in the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons), enhancing biodiversity and restoring poor agricultural land.

Balancing the need for in-person meetings with the push towards sustainability is crucial. By choosing to hold your business meetings at St David’s Hotel under the ‘Meetings For Good’ initiative, you are contributing to a greener future while accessing top-notch facilities and services. What's not to like?

We are really proud to partner with St David’s Hotel, and to support their commitment to environmental sustainability.
