250 Trees Training

Join us for a FREE practical SFS 250-tree training session, focused on planting, caring for, and monitoring trees on working farmland. The training is designed to support you in submitting your 'Trees and Hedgerow Planting Opportunity Plan' as part of UA10 (due 31 December 2026) and will be run by Stump Up For Trees' Woodland Creation Officers Mark Morgan and Kate Beavan, and by our Director, Jenny Knight.

We will explore how to integrate trees to benefit the farm, boost biodiversity, and support natural flood management using real examples from our projects in Bannau Brycheiniog and beyond. We will help you develop your own plan to submit, outlining which trees count and which don't and support you in selecting when and where to plant more should you need to.

  • Run through the RPW system including Themes and Mapping
  • Explore what counts and what doesn’t
  • Workshop to support you design a simple effective plan
  • Lots of Tea and Biscuits
